Think you’ve seen all the haunted places in the world? Think again. Here are 10 of the most haunted places in the world.
1. Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Kentucky, U.S. It was a tuberculosis hospital where it’s believed that more than 63,000 people died.
2. Eastern State Penitentiary, Pennsylvania, U.S. Built in 1829, it’s known to be the first prison of its kind to use solitary confinement.
3. It was built in 1145. the Ancient Ram Inn is believed to be the most haunted place in the entire British Isles. It was home to child sacrifices, devil worship, and other horrible things.
4. Fort George, The Citadel, in Nova Scotia, Canada, is believed to be Canada’s most haunted site. Several apparitions have been reported walking the grounds there.
5. Built over 125 years ago, Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, Canada is believed to be one of the most haunted sites in Canada.
6. Babenhausen Barracks in Hesse, Germany, is where the ghosts of many World War II soldiers have been seen in uniform.
7. The Tower of London has a history of torture and execution that goes back over 900 years, making it one of the most haunted sites in the UK.
8. Château de Brissac, in Maine-et-Loire, France is home to the Green Lady, as well as others after a double murder occurred there in the 15th century.
9. Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town, South Africa is home to the Lady in Grey and many others. It was built by the Dutch East India company and was home to many deaths.
10. Poveglia Island in Italy was stricken by the bubonic Plague, so as you can imagine many deaths happened there. It was also home to a suicide. Many locals do not dare step foot there.
These places truly are the stuff of nightmares. I’ve seen many of them listed on Paranormal shows on television. They attract thousands of people each year, and for good reason. There is a great mystery and vibe surrounding these places.Please share!
