Dolphin Gamecube Emulator Success!

Today I decided to try to find a WORKING gamecube .iso file of Zelda: The Windwaker.  I already had the working Dolphin Gamecube Emulator, so all I needed was a working game file.

I already tried a file I got from Emuparadise, but it didn’t work.  It really sucked because I got my hopes up.  It’s all good though, because I finally found a working version from a torrent.

It gets 30 fps, which is really decent actually for a Gamecube Emulator, from what I understand.  I’ve heard of people getting more, but I don’t need more than that.  The game plays SMOOTHLY, and that’s all that matters to me!

I got so happy…it’s awesome to be able to play The Windwaker again, it’s been years since I played it.  I previously had gotten over halfway through the game when I used to own a Gamecube.

For some reason, I never finished the game, but i did keep my memory card with my saved game on it.  But now that doesn’t really matter, because I’m starting the game over fresh!  It will be a nice refresher, because I forgot a lot about the game.

If you’re wondering if a Dolphin emulator will run on your computer, I have an AMD Phenom II Quad Core, 3.4 Ghz with 8 GB of Ram, and an AMD Radeon HD 6670 Graphics card.  Even if you don’t have those specs., you should still be able to get a decent framerate provided your graphics card is good enough.

I’m sure it will be a lot of fun beating the game ;)  Getting back to where I was will take a while, but I’m up for it.  Do you have any experience with emulators?

  1. First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question
that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had a hard time
clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any suggestions or hints? Thanks!
